To get the most out of the AI course, here are some recommendations regarding the laptop you plan to use for the course:

Windows 10 or later, macOS 12 or later, or a recent Linux distribution
Intel i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor or equivalent (or better)
At least 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended for a smoother experience)
At least 20 GB of free disk space
Stable, unrestricted Wi-Fi connection
Up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox)

🔐 Required Access and Permissions
Do not use a VPN or corporate firewall that blocks access to online services (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, etc.)
Ensure you have administrator rights on the computer so you can install applications if necessary
If you are using a work computer, make sure access to external websites is not restricted

💡 Tips for Ensuring a Smooth Experience During the Course
Bring a charger and a mouse
Create a personal account with at least one LLM in advance (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot…)
A personal Gmail account is also recommended. This makes it easier to quickly create accounts for specific applications that we could use together

24 hours spread over 2 months + self-study at home

 

Classes are held in person:

• 1 class per week in the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• EApproximately 1 Saturday per month, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• As part of the course, instructors will regularly assign homework and practical exercises designed to reinforce and apply the course material.

Note: The school holidays of the Canton of Zurich will be taken into account.
